New Customer (License Plate Search)
Perform a customer search.
After search results in no customer found, select the New Customer button to create the customer record. (This is the only option if there are no search results.)
In the vehicle information window, select the license plate field (already populated) and then press the tab key to start the CarFax vehicle search.
Press Yes to accept the vehicle.
Review vehicle information and ChekChart item recommendations. Edit vehicle information where needed. (Scroll to view any additional information available.)
Press Save when done.
Press Edit Customer to enter customer information. (The active ticket’s number will appear in the window bar.)
Enter customer information and press Save when finished.
Add services using the Quick-Add buttons or by pressing All Services and selecting a service from the available list.
After selecting the service, press save to add it to the ticket. To override the price, a passcode must be entered.
After adding the service, review the ticket list to verify that ChekChart item recommendations were matched to inventory. If not, double-tap on the “no match” item, and select an item from your inventory and click Save.
Add more services if needed. You can also use the highlighted buttons below to add a variety of additional items to the ticket.
When the ticket is ready for payment, choose a payment method.
Review customer information and press Save.
Accept the amount by pressing Save. The invoice and static sticker will be sent to printer.
The ticket is now closed.
This Customer, This Vehicle
When the search finds a customer that has been in before with this vehicle, that customer can be selected from list.
This will create the ticket. You are sent back to the main tablet page where you can select Edit Vehicle to view vehicle information and edit if necessary.

This Customer, New Vehicle
When a customer is found associated with a different vehicle, this option allows a new vehicle to be associated with the existing customer.

This will create the ticket. You are sent back to the main tablet page where you can select Edit Vehicle where you can update the customer’s vehicle information.

Not common, but this might be a vehicle that has been in the shop before but now has a new owner.
