Understand Chek-Chart better and make this tool work for you with the information below. For future reference we recommend you download the PDF here:
Chek-Chart from Motor Information provides Oil Capacity, Filter Recommendations (Oil, Air, and Cabin), Serpentine Belts, and Wipers. It also shows preventive maintenance information that is used for the Service Review, as well as vehicle information that has torque and other fluid capacities.
Business Operations
Chek-Chart is used to populate the information on the Edit Vehicle screen. Line items in Orange mean there is more than one recommended item.
If the Oil Capacity is blank it means, there is more than one Oil Capacity for the selected engine. If you click in the Oil Capacity box, the information will be displayed on the right side of the screen.
Inventory setup for Brands
Setting up different brands (filter Catalogs) is controlled by the category setup and a customer can select as many brands as they want. To set this up open the eGenuity Module and select the Inventory Management tab. Then select the category tab and press the Search button. Select the category and then the Brands tab.
Vehicle Information
Chek-Chart also provides Vehicle Information which is usually two to three pages long and can be printed for the customer. You can view this information by clicking on the Vehicle Information in the lower left-hand corner of the Business Operations screen for an open ticket.
There is also a tab for Diagrams and Procedures. A lot of this information is also at the bottom of the screen in the diagrams section.
There are 4 tabs on the bottom. Engine Diagram, Chassis Diagram, Oil Light Reset, and Vehicle Information.
