Verify Repair Order Printer Hardware

  • Verify the printer is connected to power and all cables are secure.

  • Verify the printer has no error indicators displayed on the LCD screen.

Set Default Printer - Repair Order Printer

To begin we will want to ensure that the Repair Order Printer is working with the Operating System of the connection machine.

  1. Access the Windows Start Menu by clicking the Windows Symbol.
    (The Icon will differ depending on Operating System)

    1. Windows 11 Start Icon: Located in either the bottom center or bottom right of the screen

    2. Windows 10 Start Icon: Typically located in the lower left corner

  2. Once the Windows Start Menu is open, being to type Control Panel.

  3. Once Control Panel is open, in the right hand corner adjust the dropdown to Category (if needed); then click on View devices and Printers under Hardware and Sound.

  4. The Devices and Printers can be viewed here. The Repair Order printer is required to be set as the Default printer. (Below are steps to set the Default printer)

    If the printer is not set as the default printer, right click the desired Repair Order printer and click ‘Set as Default Printer’.

Test Print - Repair Order Printer

  1. From the Devices and Printers section of Control Panel, right click the Repair Order printer and click ‘Printer Properties

  2. Select the General tab, then ‘Print Test Page’ at the bottom right of the window
