Driverse Guide: Creating and Editing an Estimate

To create an estimate using items from the service tab:

  1. Select a service.

  2. Click the Add button for:

    • the suggested labor for the service (the default labor rate of $100.00 will be multiplied by the suggested labor hours and added to the estimate.)

    • any suggested parts for the labor (parts are added separately from the labor)

    • any suggested optional labor

    • any suggested optional part

       

  3. After adding the desired items, click on the Estimate tab to view and edit the estimate. The added items are listed here and can be quickly identified by type: either labor or part.

To edit an item added to the estimate:

The price or rate and the quantity or hours can be changed any time:

  1. Click in either the Price/Rate field or the Qty/Hr(s) field.

  2. Use the up/down arrows on either field to change the amounts incrementally by one or type a new amount directly into the field.

  3. Press enter on the keyboard to allow for the estimate recalculation.

To delete a part or labor item:

  1. Click on the trashcan icon.

     

  2. Check the box for the item to be deleted.



  3. Click on the trashcan icon then click ‘Ok’ to confirm.

To manually add items to the estimate:

Note: An estimate can be created with manual entries without the need to add items from the services tab.

  1. Click the Add Part or Add Labor button.

     

  2. On the new line item added, enter the name of the new item.

  3. Tab to the next field and enter Price or Rate.

  4. Tab to the next field and the Quantity or Hours.

  5. Press enter on the keyboard to allow for the estimate recalculation.

Click on the Services tab to add additional labor and parts.  Finally, to print the estimate, right-click on the page and select Print.

To print the estimate:

  1. Right-click on the Estimate tab.

  2. Select Print.

  3. Follow your browser and printer instructions.
