Coupons

Add / Edit

1. Open eGenuity software

2. Select System Maintenance from top panel menu

3. Select Sales from left panel menu

4. Click on Coupons icon

Add a Coupon

1. Select Add (F4)

2. Complete the following fields:

a. Code: Enter a code to identify the coupon

b. Description: Enter a description of the coupon. Can be same as the Code

c. Coupon Access: Select from the drop-down menu

i. Coupon is Always Available: Coupon is available regardless of the services and/or items on the ticket

ii. Coupon is only available for the Categories & Services below: Coupon is only available if specific service and/or item(s) within a set category are on the ticket. Specific services are selected on the Services tab and categories are selected on the Categories tab

d. Calculate Coupon On: Select desired option from the drop-down menu

i. Apply to Ticket Items: Coupon only applies to specific services and or items specified on the Services and/or Categories tab

ii. Apply to Whole Ticket: Coupon is based on the entire ticket

e. Select General Settings tab

i. Complete the following:

1. Number Issued: Enter the number of coupons issued. Required field

2. Number Used: No entry required. Software automatically calculates and updates count

3. Issue Date: Enter date the coupon created or becomes available. Required field

4. Expiration Date: Enter date the coupon expires. Required field

5. Program Cost: If utilizing a program where multiple coupon types are purchased, enter the total cost of the coupon package.

6. Minimum Ticket Price: Enter the minimum gross ticket price required for the coupon to be available

7. Profit Center: From the drop-down list, select the appropriate Cost Center

8. Serial Number:

a. Is Serial Number Required?: Select to require entry of the coupon serial number upon redemption. Each coupon must have a unique serial number

b. Is Serial Number Unique?: If selected, the serial number cannot have already been used

9. Maximum Currency Amount: Enter the maximum amount available for coupon

10. Max Number per Ticket: Enter the maximum number of times the coupon can be used on a ticket

f. Select Prices tab

i. Complete the following fields:

1. Default Symbol: Select the type of discount offered, a percentage (%) or currency ($)

2. Default Amount: Enter the amount of this discount, either the percentage or currency value

3. Pricing Security:

a. Normal: Select to use the value set in Default Amount

b. Open: Select to allow entry of the value during checkout

c. Allow Change: Select to allow the value to be changed

d. Fixed: Select to prevent the value from being changed

g. Select Stores tab

i. Select Is Enabled? for all stores where coupon is available

h. Select Industry tab

i. Select Services tab

1. Select Is Enabled? for all services for which the coupon may be applied

i. Select Categories tab

i. Select Is Enabled? for all categories for which the coupon may be applied

j. Select Prohibited Combinations tab

i. Select Is Enabled? for all coupon combinations prohibited with the coupon

k. Save (F5)

 

Edit a Coupon

1. Double-click on the existing coupon to enable editing

2. Make desired changes, as necessary

3. Save (F5)
