FAQ: M-S Cash Drawer Troubleshooting

  1. Disconnect cash drawer from computer

  2. Reboot computer

    1. Confirm all four (4) dip switches on cash drawer are in up (0) position

    2. Reconnect to computer

    3. Test opening cash drawer

  3. If cash drawer still not responding

    1. Open M-S Cash Drawer utility

    2. Verify utility shows Status of System: USB Device Connected

    3. Dip switches 1-3 in up (0) position set drawer to Drawer #1 in utility

    4. If utility does not see device:

      1. Disconnect cash drawer

      2. Double-check dip switch settings

      3. Restart computer

    5. If Status of Cash Drawer is:

       

      1. Closed but drawer is open

      2. Open but drawer is closed

        1. Close utility

        2. Flip fourth (4th) dip switch down

        3. Reopen utility and test
