FAQ: USPS Address Validation

eLube offers as an add-on feature to the program, the ability to compare the entered address for a customer with the United States Postal Service (USPS) database to ensure proper street names, abbreviations, and zip codes are used.

Address Validation Process

  • Address As Entered: Displays address as entered by user

  • Address As Validated: Displays address as recorded by USPS address database

  1. Accept Changes (F5): Changes address to reflect USPS address database

  2. Ignore Changes (F6): Ignores suggested changes and retains address as entered

  3. Cancel (Esc): Makes no changes, closes validation window, and returns to previous screen
